Thank you for your response and of course your amazing template.
I attempted what you suggested and I think it works pretty well.
I found out now, it is easy:
Admin/Plugins/Blocks/Manage blocks:
Find Navigation, then turn the eye off.
Done.
The only places that I really miss the navigation block is when I start drilling deep down into Moodle...
Just to double check I will look into this tomorrow:

And I will look into Antonio´s Joomdle/Joomla/Moodle Menu options.
Do you have any suggestions for what else I should check out?
