Pardon the finger wag ... you really need to find how to copy and paste text or provide
screen information in some other format)   There are many helpdesk folks
that do NOT have MS Office nor any Office Suite installed on their workstations
for obvious reasons/issues.  end finger wag. ;)

The error, for those that do not care to open a word doc, says this:

'Oops!  That page can't be found.
It looks like nothing was found at this location.  Maybe try one of the links
below or a search?"

Then presents a small search form with a Search button.

That's not a Moodle error screen but rather an apache/iis 404 error page (can't be found).

In a course, clicking on the backup link in the course admin menu, points to:
http://site/backup/backup.php?id=6
The id number is the id number of the course.

Can you go directly to that url via browser if you copy:
/backup/backup.php?id= and add the course ID number?
(which you can see when viewing the course)

From the 404 error page presented by your web service (whatever that is)
sounds like/looks like the backup directory in moodle code doesn't have
a backup.php script in it.

So first, using whatever you have to browse files, go to moodle code/backup/
and see if there is a backup.php file in there.

Am assuming this is a brand new Moodle install and you've built a course then
discovered this issue.

So you will have to provide more information about your system.
How hosted? (standalone server, provider (vendor name?)
How did you install Moodle?  Some providers have 'infamous' on button installers.
Is that what you used to install the Moodle?
Also wouldn't hurt to say what operating system.
