Hi there,

 I am creating a moodle site for one of my friend. This site will be used by people all around the world. Once I finish I won't be there to help my friend if any problem comes. So  I want to make sure she does not have problems in future. Can someone throw somelight on some the issues or concerns I should know and solve in remote management?? Any suggestions or thoughts on  how we can do this??

Hi,

My management on my server(s) with Moodle and more, is always remote. Even when I'm home next to the server running it.

What OS is the site running on?

If you have Shell acces by SSH (or something) you can solve any problem in apache/mysql (assume that you run apache).

Also an account in Moodle with admin rights will help you in case of some problems.
Also install the database management add-on (it's PHPMyAdmin), you can do some hacking in the MySQL database when needed.

Hi,

Right now I am testing the moodle in apache server and later I need to transfer it to Windows IIS server. As I told you my friend doesn't know any thing about computers, so I need to make sure there is no remote problems to her. I want to make it all web based, so any problem she has, she can go to any link and solve it, so she doesn't have to the particular file and change,
