I have Moodle 3.0.4 running on a Linux server. I have three production instances of Moodle running on the server, all the same 3.0.4 version.
In each one, Site administration/Security/Site policies, the Maximum uploaded file size is set to 40MB.
Two of my Moodle instances work as expected. On the third instance, when I go to Plugins/Activity modules/Assignment/Submissions plugins/File submissions, I can't change the Maximum submission size from the default 1mb. That is, I can choose a higher value from the dropdown box but when I click save, it goes back to 1MB.
I checked in the mdl_config_plugins database, and assignsubmission_file | maxbyte does get changed to whatever I choose in the Moodle interface, but that number in the database is not reflected in the Moodle interface and the individual assignment amount is still only 1MB.
Has anyone else experienced this? Or can someone help me figure out what else to troubleshoot? Thank you
