A question from a lecturer at our institution:
If a student fails to lodge their HECS form prior to census they are automatically removed [suspended] from the unit. This is fine if they never come back, but if they fix the outstanding issue with Student Services they will be reinstated [un-suspended] in Moodle, BUT all record of previous attendance is replaced with ‘ABSENT’. Is there any way of recovering the lost attendance data that was captured prior to census? Students enrolled in nursing can only miss two tutorials per semester otherwise they cannot pass the unit-no exceptions, so attendance records are very important?
