HI Justin

I installed poodll filter and made sure that it is enabled everywhere, and also that it is on top of the list of filters. I've also register poodll and put the registration key into moodle. When i click for instance on camera then it says that poodll is not registered. I then went back and register it again and then it gives me the same key. It just keep on saying that poodll is not registered. Ive tried everything that ive read on all the forums. Please assist me. Thanks in advance.

Hi Lester

There could be a problem with versions (and terminology) here.

PoodLL 3, the latest for Moodle 3.1, requires a different registration key to before. It is much longer. There is a 14 day free trial period, but anything longer requires a paid subscription. So I think you probably have a mismatch between the version of PoodLL and the type of registration key.

To be clear:

PoodLL filter for PoodLL 3  (Version:3.0.0 Build:2016081401 and greater)
requires a longer registration key available from: http://poodll.com/poodll-3-2/

Earlier PoodLL filter
requires a registration key from : http://poodll.com/registration/

Thank you very much Justin. This solves my problem. Would have never realise that.

Hi Justin,

So you are saying that Poodll changed to a fee-based service. This comes as a rather nasty surprise after a seemingly innocent upgrade. I don't suppose there is a way to return to the older Poodll filter version for which we do have a valid registration key.

I cannot spring a registration fee on my organisation all of a sudden, so I will have to check out alternatives to Poodll.

Rgrds,
Paul.
