Assignment descriptions not displaying on course page

Hi fellow Moodlers,

We just upgraded to version 3.0.2 (Build 20160111) on our server. So, courses stayed in place during the upgrade. Now, when I edit the settings for an assignment and select the Display description on course page check box, the description is NOT displayed on the course page. As a workaround, I can copy the content and then add a Label below the assignment. But, why wouldn't the description show via the assignment settings 

Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Hi Caryl,

Do other activity descriptions display on the course page? Are you using a custom theme? If so, you could try switching to Clean to check whether it solves the problem.
