I guess in your custom app you've added/modified some CSS rules that are causing this problem. Do you also see the styles like this when you test in browser? If so, then you just need to inspect the elements affected to check why are the borders gone.
If it only happens in device, then you'll need to inspect the device using remote inspectors.
