Our company was cleaning out one of the storage sheds that we have and
stumbled across this. Anyone have an idea as to what it is?
Okay, I'm guessing either a telescope or a flamethrower.
an air horn?
One of the part looks like it contains flammable gas. It looks like it's some kind of burner. Maybe it's a chemist's tool.

Looks like some kind of air-horn. The handle on the top indicates that it is intended to be easily portable but not necessarily carried for long distances. The barrel isn't long enough for a flamethrower or a fumigator - operator too close to the working end. The flare on the barrel might indicate that it's for sound projection, and the gas canister suggests it's for unsupervised operation.
Betcha it's a crow-scarer, the kind that goes "bang" periodically in farmers' fields.
Then again....

What is the full text on the decals, especially the one the end of the horn? Any patent number would be certain to answer your question.
