Essential: inconsistency in the form buttons

Essential: inconsistency in the form buttons

Hi!

We have been testing Essential and like it very much, a great theme and we'd like to use it.

The problem is with the form buttons (Save, Cancel and so on). They are very inconsistent; sometimes they are the Essential floating style, but in several other places (especially, but not only, with different plugins) the are a confusing mix of the classic moodle style, directly on the page, and the floating Essential style. This is really a "stopper" for us, considering the best for our users.

Is there any way to keep the buttons in the "classic moodle style"? Or, how can we get a better consistency in how those buttons appear?

We are using Moodle 2.8 with the corresponding Essential version, and was planning on implementing Essential when upgrading to Moodle 3.0 this summer.

Ok, ever since David implemented the floating buttons as a solution to the 'scroll of death' back in 2014 it has been a never ending series of issues with it.  Over time because of feedback I have the buttons not float where they do not make sense.  Other places they do float - thus not-really inconsistent, but rather thought out.  There is now a setting 'floatingsubmitbuttons' where you can turn it off completely.  You'll find it on the 'General' settings page, but in the next release it will be on the new 'Features' setting page.

That sounds great! Cannot find in my settings, though. From which version was this implemented?
