Martin, I didn't mean for it to be posted here.
What I meant was that you should add an icon in <header> directly after <title>
Such as ...
<LINK REL="SHORTCUT ICON" HREF="http://compcanlit.usherbrooke.ca/graphics/ccl.ico"/>

But all the themes have a favicon already ... (look at the source for this page, for example)

Hello!

I did not realize that MOODLE had a favicon already because it does not show in the address bar or on the desktop if you pull the address to the desktop.  I created my own so I could see the shortcut I created quickly on the desktop.
