Here is a new one.... sort of gel like, not as 3d looking, more of a burnt amber color (I think)...
Jeff
is it me or it is taking a dangerous simil with a bunch of Life Savers?
BTW: Now I'm getting lots of errors when loading the new editor...
Life Savers..... how unkind!
Jeff
Oops... Sorry Jeff... See the positive side... They are so sweet!
Just kidding my friend...

That one does look kinda edible!
I finally found a moment to have a bit of a play with the ideas gathered so far. It still needs some polish, but this is getting closer to what I had in mind (although I'm backing off a bit on the aqua idea as being a bit too hard to get right just now). The hat is a little too big, and some shadows need fixing. This logo might looks better on a coloured background (see next post).

Looks good! I like the white background personally.
That's a good concept Rob. Good job . Lots of good work produced here, by everyone, in a short time. Amazing collaboration.

I think that the d and l are too high in relation to the hat. Here is what it would look like it they were shortened:

Some tests with FF9900, simulating your shades and hat...

Should you guy's start a photobank??? These are all fine pictures you have produced
! It's very hard to make up one's mind which is the greatest... perhaps they all are.
Fine job, keep on going

One think that keeps hitting my eyes is the shadow below the hat... It is kinda unrealistic! I think that its shadow must be far less pronounced than the one of the word...

Nice, Eloy! Cool backgrounds too.
I've improved the shadows on this one, Will, and shortened the stalks a little, Gustav. It's just a little bit shinier now too, and also has a bit of a sunburn gradient on it to give it some richness. The hat needs to be lighter on smaller versions to make the details a bit clearer.
I'm having a little problem with the emboss feature on Photoshop 7 - it slightly overwrites the shadows of the preceding letter. I notice yours aren't doing that, Eloy ... how are you making the letters 3D?

It looks natural now! Congrats!

Ah, I found the difference in Photoshop ... emboss vs inner bevel
Latest version as transparent PNG ... getting verrrry close now - I'm pretty happy with this one.
Photoshop file is online if you want it.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear...I've just had a slight accident involving my credit card and cafe press, to the tune of two coasters, one sweatshirt and one coloured sleeve shirt.

LOL, thanks.
I ordered a bunch of stuff too (including a clock) to check the quality. I hope they look good!
Suggestions on the products are very welcome!

I'll report back when they arrive.
Right On, Martin!!!
For starters I want this ball cap and the travel mug but I think the cap needs the logo shrunk by about 1/3 or so. Just a suggestion, don't know if it's possible.

Good suggestion - done! Quite a lot of customisation is possible.
If there's enough interest (or conflicting interests) I'll sign up for the less basic shop front which allows more variety.
I'll also link this thing from moodle.org once I revamp the theme here a little to use the new graphics.

Thanks. I've just been looking around cafepress and was wondering if it'd be a good idea to point to the full line of products available and see if we can build a consensus by ranking them here. Then you'd have a community designed storefront. Maybe start a new area for this? Moodle likely has tools available to help make this an easy, fun and efficient process.
This seems to be contagious . I only have to wait my T-shirt's two weeks, and it's getting cold here in Finland...

Cafepress say my order has just shipped. I hope the mail across the Atlantic is speedy at the moment
Since it is verrry close and not exxxxactly it...please describe what you'd like different and I'll have an artist do it. (referring to Sunday, 9 November 2003, 07:41 AM post & graphic).

Thanks, Jerry, I since tweaked it some more so I think it's pretty done now. I'll start a new thread and post the latest Photoshop file.
