Hi Justin,

Thank you for the great work on these plugins. They work beautifully.

I had a question regarding the minimum browser requirements. Do you have any minimum browser requirements for using Poodll?

Please let me know.

Thank you.

There is no official minimum browser requirement at this stage, but some features such as the ability to play mp3 audio in html5, and the availability of the html5 canvas tag, are very useful in PoodLL.

So lets say:

IE 9

Chrome 28

Firefox 28

Safari 5.1

The full browser compatibility list on those features is here.

Hi Justin,

We are trying to run Poodll audio recording in Firefox & Chrome on a Linux system. But in our testing we are only able to see the image of the recorder and not the actual recorder with the buttons. We can't access the record, stop, play buttons for some reason. We also ensured that we have flash player installed but no luck.

Can you please share your thoughts on why this might be happening? We are kind of stumped.

Thank you.

Can you send me a screenshot?

I don't use desktop Linux very often, but when I have Flash was never very stable. Perhaps thats related to this.

Hi Justin,

Sorry for the late reply as I was having a difficult time getting access to the linux computers.

Screenshots are attached. Tested it on both the Firefox and Chrome browsers. Firefox looks for the plugin, while Chrome the plugin loads but am unable to click on the 'Allow' access buttons.

Please advice on how we could resolve this issue. Thank you.

We have a same issue at our school.

Attached is a work around for a Mac that our students have had success with

(Saving your schools' domain to the safe list in the Java pref pane).

I'm posting this in case it helps others with the same issue.

This is sometimes a problem, but its not limited to PoodLL.

I have had this problem on Linux too. There are some solutions that people describe here. I hope one of these can help you.
