[THOUGHT FOR TODAY] License or Licence?

[THOUGHT FOR TODAY] License or Licence?

In the USA they use "license" as a noun. Since computer software comes with a licence for you to use it, this is commonly misspelled as license.

That said, is the GNU 'License' invalid in the UK since it is spelled wrongly? Can we correct the spelling and add this corrected version of this licence to our Moodle Themes?

Just a thought...

In British English, both are valid: http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/licencehttp://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/license - So looks legally valid, but I'm not a lawyer though.
