Moodle has both the TinyMCE editor and the Atto editor. From Moodle 2.7 onwards Atto has been the default. PoodLL Anywhere can work with either, but has a separate plugin for each. The instructions for each should explain how to install them and set them up. You have installed PoodLL Anywhere for TinyMCE. So you could install PoodLL Anywhere for Atto, or enable the TinyMCE editor.

If you are currently using Atto and you want to change to enable TinyMCE, that is done at:

site administration->plugins->text editors->manage editors

(I attached a screenshot)

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I enabled tinyMCE and the poodLL anywhere buttons are available.

Can you reply on another query ? What i need is, a student has to record his voice as anwer. I noticed on the plugin page, that question type essay does not accept files so it would not work with essay type. I enabled file attachment for the question and then the buttons are visible.

My Query is, how to have the buttons without enabling file attachment for essay type question. I am new and i hope you can spare time and guide. Thanks.

I don't think what you ask is possible without customizing something. This is because PoodLL has to save the files in the file area for the html editor. If file attachments are not enabled, there is no file area to store the files. That is why PoodLL hides itself.

However there is a PoodLL Recording question type. If you install this, and use it instead of the essay question type, you can accept voice recordings as answers.

Thanks for this guidance. Appreciate that you are giving so much of time. I think this is what i need, a recording question type, an essay type, anyway i do not need a text editor.
