Hi Juan, 

Yes I have done that, and also disabled it in the repositories options.

I'll look forward to 2.9 then, and thanks for the help with the 'Upload' option, this is now sorted.

I've just run into the exact same issue in a Moodle 2.7.

I've taken the tick out of upload files as described above, but is that all files as opposed to just files that would go in the Private files section?

Hi Heather,

I'm sorry but I think that I don't understand your question. To clarify the upload option, if you disable to upload files in the service the app will not display the option for uploading files (files you have shared with the app, photos, audio recording, video, etc..).
