IWe are using calculations in our grade book which require assignments, etc to have ID numbers, which is not a problem. However, if I later go into the assignment and change any other settings the ID number is gone and I need to re-enter it, or else the grade calculations won't work properly.
Is there a way of keeping the ID number so it doesn't need to be re-entered each time the assignment is updated?
I am using Moodle 2.3
