I installed the Newsletter plugin for our Moodle 2.7.2. I like the idea of sending Training Newsletters from Moodle and also being able to store each monthly newsletter in a location that others can access to see past newsletters.
However, I keep getting an error message. I start to set up a newsletter and there is a 'busy icon' that appears in the Attachments area--that never goes away.
As a test, I haven't entered a lot of newsletter info. I've just typed in the words: "newsletter will go here."
However, when I try to click Save, I get this:
When I click on 'More information about this error,' I get this:
Now I haven't contacted our IT yet to see what the max_packet_size is. However, it seems like if I've just typed in 4 words of content, the packet size shouldn't be that big.
The only other thing I can think of is that when I installed the Newsletter plugin on our 2.7 Moodle, I did see a maturity notice and I think it doesn't have downloads beyond 2.6. But aside from that, the plugin loaded just fine.
Any suggestions?
