We were smitten by some of your themes and tried out Formalbally15 and Officeshade15. Much to our liking.
However, we're experiencing some strange behaviour, notably regarding the breadcrumbs. Where normally the coloured line would stretch all accross the screen (as it does in standard themes) it here only extends just enough to make room for the breadcrumbs. The result is e.g. that the button to switch on editing is situated far to the left and not at the right end of the screen anymore.

This does not happen with e.g. Global15.
Is it possible we did something wrong in implementing these themes? Is it related to the sort of breadcrumbs line? (these two themes use coloured lines, not a graphic one)

appletHello L. Vandijck. I'm not being able to reproduce this issue on my local Moodle 1.5 Beta installation. Actually, we check out the themes for such glitches before we put them for download. Try installing Bally15 and OfficeShade15 again without customizing headers on your local PC Moodle 1.5x. If there's no breadcrumb problem then perhaps something went wrong when you changed the header graphics. Just my guess. Let me have your URL.

I've done as you suggested: reinstalled both themes without any customisation, straight "off the net". But with identical results: the breadcrumb line remains left adjusted and the last item (e.g. Edit forum, or Turn editing on) is not at the right side of the screen, as expected.
I'm afraid I can't invite you to have a look yourself, because version 1.5 is installed only on my off line testing site (so on my local PC). The on line site is still using version 1.4.  I'm trying out all sorts of things before I upgrade the actual site to 1.5. And I would love to use one of your themes.

Can't figure this one! Anyway, download FormalBally15 etc. zips again. Install themes in another Moodle15 installation (another PC) and see...just to eliminate settings problems which may exist in the original PC. Have you seen the theme on Mozzilla? Which Internet Explorer version are you using? What's the screen resolution?

Re: More for MoodleThemes Members

L. Vandijck -
After some tinkering with two different local installations, I think I have been able to pinpoint the culprit for my problem with your theme.
I applied it to a working version 1.5 and indeed everything was just the way I expected it: nice screenwide breadcrumb trail. I made some changes to the header file and it all looked splendid. Until I upgraded to version 1.5+ (or moodle_15_latest). And there it was again: a cut short breadcrumb line.
So it seems to me that somewhere in that "development version" there are changes since the official 1.5 version that cause this unelegant behaviour.
BTW, to answer your previous posting: my default browser is Firefox and I always check things in IE 6, and both gave similar results. But from what I wrote above, I tend to conclude the cause of the problem is related to 1.5+
This does make me worry a bit about what will happen in the upcoming 1.5.1 release. I expect the same...

latest update: problem no longer exists...
After quite some experimenting, I decided to start from scratch. So I deleted the whole lot, reinstalled a fresh Moodle 1.4 and worked my way up through different versions I had downloaded lately. From 1.4, through 1.5, several varieties of 1.5 + (stable), up to the latest version 1.5+ I downloaded yesterday. And believe it or not: your themes remained impeccable all through the process. So I am absolutely flabbergasted, but at the same time delighted. Apparently there was something amiss in both my previous installations.
Still, thanks for your very kind and swift support. And of course for your neat design.

You're not going to believe this...
Yesterday evening I finished my moodlings with a perfectly functioning installation using your Formalbally15 theme.
This morning I started working on my off line site again, and yes, the breadcrumbs trail is showing its odd behaviour again. I'm working on a Windows XP configuration with EasyPHP 1.7 installed. My new conclusion tends to be that the problem is probably caused by this local setup, and I'll have to be patient until I upgrade the on line version itself to see what happens.
Does make one a bit desperate, doesn't it? Working with computers is not for the fainthearted.

Hi L. Vandijck. You've been working round the clock..almost..seeing from the time in your posts! That's right, working with computers does drive everyone fairly crazy. I'm downloading Moodle15 latest to see how the themes function on it. Thanks very much for bringing this problem to our notice. When you can, post me your site's URL. We would love to see what you have done.

At this moment we're still using the old version, called OpenSchool. We're planning to do the upgrade in a few weeks, so as to be ready for the new term that starts in September. As soon as it is running, I'll be glad to notify you about it. But don't expect too much, after all we're just a secondary school modestly trying to help its teachers and pupils not to miss important changes in education.

Nothing of that nature should change in the 1.5.x branch, as only bug fixes are made.  It's more likely to be something in the header.html of that theme.

Hi L. Vandijck. Hope's there for you. I upgraded the Moodle on my webserver to 1.5+. No navbar problem with FormalBally15. Regarding your site, I'll be happy to see it as I'm more interested in e-learning's grassroots effectiveness and relevance.
