Certificate reissue

Hi there, same problem here but I have done a bit of a work around...I have a site where users need to take the training yearly, so I have set their enrollment to expire a few weeks before the the year is up, which deletes all their users records and they start with a clean slate again - so the certificate reissues.

I also have the certificate to print the date the final test was taken... I don't know if that makes a difference or not.

I must say though, it's hit or miss. I have had to go into the database several times and update the certificate date manually as this doesn't always work, and I was just coming here to post a new comment for help.

It would be very nice to have the ability to set the certificate to update from the settings, as I think this is something a lot of us can use.

Hi

Just wondering if anyone had got any further with this issue? Our Health Sciences department ask their students to do Moodle Quizzes on a yearly basis (similar to the original problem in this discussion thread) as their knowledge needs to be up to date regarding Fire Safety, Health & Safety etc. before they go on placements.

Currently the Quizzes are set up so that the Quiz reports look at the most recent attempt a user has completed. However, the department would like the Certificates related to that quiz to update to the most recent date of attempt. They are looking at the 'Certificate > View all issued certificates' report and need to see that students have recently completed the quiz again.

Currently the Certificate does not update but only has the original attempt date on it. For example, a student completed the Quiz in September 2014 and successfully downloaded their certificate. They have now re-attempted the quiz in June 2015 and would like the Certificate to show the June 2015 date.

Perhaps I'm missing a setting somewhere but if anyone has any further comments or suggestions, they would be gratefully received.

Catherine

Currently using Moodle 2.7.
