Hi all,

I'm having some problems in using flash movies in the glossary. I add the <object> and the <embed> tags in the conf. setup but i can see the movies.

How can i add this to my glossary?

Thank you for all your help

Luis

I used to have my Flash movies embedded in my glossaries in 1.4.5. Since upgrading to 1.5 I have been unable to use the embed tags (there has been some discussion about this on other threads-not sure if it has been resolved yet). In the mean time I:
  • upload the .swf files
  • add some text to the glossary
  • select the text (if I don't want the link to be seen I only select a colon or something small like that and then change the colour of it to the same as the background so it becomes invisible).
  • click on the the link button in the editor toolbar
  • Browse for and select my flash file
My .swfs now show up in the glossary as if they were embedded.
You must of course have enabled the multimedia filters, and I presume the student must have flash player installed.
Hope this helps,

Richard

At the moment, I'm publishing the .swf files at the size need. However, it looks like the embed bug has been fixed in the latest daily builds (see this thread- http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=25507). So you might like to upgrade and go back to using the embed tags where you can specify the size.

Richard.
