Hi,
since some time ago we have been discussing about PHP Namespaces and how to use them within Moodle. They became officially supported in Moodle 2.6 (together with autoloading) and their importance will do nothing but to grow and grow along the time.
In order to have their use under control, always trying to balance freak-control and freedom, the policy issue MDLSITE-2549 was created and various points have been discussed there (and recurrently in lots of discussions and chats).
This is just about to call your attention to that issue and the summary page where everything is exposed. And, at the same time, ask for any opinion/comment in the Tracker.
We really want this to be moving and have everything decided ASAP (this week). And results will be added, officially, to Moodle's coding style rules.
