There are several suggestions for how to hide/collapse weeks so that the current week pops out at you. My preference for the moment is to have a link (javascript) beside the course title that will toggle hide/show for all weeks before the current week. I use the same javascript that collapses sideblocks. Clicking the link brings the current week to the top. It seems less intrusive than having a hide/show for each week.
