Hello,
Has anybody troied to upgrade the Metal theme for Moodle 1.5 ?
As I understand it it was a modification of the Normal theme with mainly changes in the borders, colors and background images.
Both my students and me like this theme. When i made a poll about what theme to choose for the site this theme was the winner.
I pretty much did that here: http://security.moodle.org
I was meaning to get around to generalising into "metal" for Moodle 1.5 but ran out of time ... can someone else do so?

Just checked Martin's metal theme - it seems pretty much complete with nothing looking noticeably out of place (using Opera 8, Firefox 1.0.4 and IE 6 on Windows XP).
There were a couple of places where the font seemed a little small - although this seems to be common to many 1.5 themes. The only change in the attached file is to include an extra fonts stylesheet that makes some of these tiny fonts a little larger e.g. the dates in the small calendar and the login/logout text at the top right of the page.

I just loaded the Metal Theme on my new Moodle site. It looks great. The site link is: http://nationalbibletraining.com/moodle/
Of course, I am still learning how to use Moodle, but the site is up and running.
Hi,
If somebody as silly as me is able to do this theme in 4 hours, what is going to happen in the future, when CSS experts will start to send their Moodle Themes...
I've sent it here because this discussion was the cause of the attempt. Not perfect (nor beautiful) but I like it and it's and "natural" alternative to the Metal Theme
(and really easy to change it to use other pictures, that was my initial objective).
You can download it from: http://www.contiento.com/elearn/wood.zip
Ciao

Well, Eloy...
You might not consider yourself a CSS expert, but that is one damn fine looking theme!!!
Although, in truth, I wouldn't know a CSS expert if one came up and bit me. Everytime I play with making a theme I learn about 4 new things. That is the fun in doing it for me. With 1.5 themes being so easy to do, Moodle should have a ton of custom themes in no time.
