I'm thinking about a small point release to wrap up a number of small bugs and inconsistencies fixed since 1.1 (so that people don't keep downloading 1.1 and finding them). It would also include some better translations.
There's been no new strings that I remember, and no new features, just fixes and cleanups.
A complete list of changes is here (auto-maintained):

Lots of nasty time-consuming things are going on for me at the moment ... also there are some fixes for PostgreSQL I'd like to see in there ... how about Saturday?
Good idea, I know 1.1 was a bit rushed from my point of view.
(Off the point a bit) It's great to have debug working OK, that was a really neat fix!

Just one more thing: could you fix the "php safe mode" issues for this version? Most hostings are turning it on, since it involves some security problems to have it off (users can access other users' files and so on).
You talked about it before. It would be great to have it fixed for 1.1.1.

No chance, sorry.
Too many other priorities - one of which is a new way to show you my priorities.
The safe mode is a really a substantial new feature rather than a little fix.
Sorry about the rush on 1.1, Ray ... too many sharks here and not enough chum to go round!
I've been asked for Monday, so let's say 1.1.1 on Monday for sure.

Is it an idea to do only bugfixes in the overnight version and the new options + fixes in the CVS version?
This doesn't hake any sense, Ger, as the nightly versions are in fact drawn from CVS.
However, I'm currently thinking we might branch development for 2.0 eventually when the time comes. The 1.x tree can continue with bug fixes afer 1.2 ... while 2.0 will be where all the big changes are.
(BTW, funny pic, John ... but why is my ass so big?

Sorry Martin, I had three minutes for that project, no time for finesse or revisions
On the other hand, that may illustrate how the target appears to the sharks when there isn't enough chum to go 'round.

IMHO, I think we all have plenty of features in 1.1/1.2 to chew on for the time being. If you have a vision for 2.0 that will take time to code, it might be appropriate for us to hold tight for awhile and use what we have.
I imagine that if you are not adding new features after 1.2, other developers will produce general hacks and fixes (and maybe new modules that you could adapt). We can step into the breach/lull and see what happens next. The Moodle Experience.
Who knows, maybe we could have a shiny new 2.0 for Christmas...

IMHO, Agree.
I was afraid it was organised that way in CVS..
.
I saw this separation between 'only bugfix' and 'bugfix + new options' threads in the Smalltalkgroup around Squeak.
? Does safe mode need to be off? Could that be what I'm doing wrong? Hmmmm....

Checked...my safe_mode IS off. That can't be it. Any thoughts?

Those servers took longer than I expected to sort out, and I'm still catching up on mail ... no chance for 1.1.1 today.
I'll try for Tuesday night ... keep the bug reports coming in!

Take your time, better good then twice:
I promissed my teachers the new release 1.1 at October 8 2003.
My admin did setup a test 1.1 for LDAP testing.
