Problem with ouwiki

Problem with ouwiki

Hi

I've just installed the ouwiki plugin (and ousearch) on our production moodle for a tutor who wants to be able to push templates in for learners to use in their own wikis.

I'm having a rather strange problem which I can find anything about.  When a learner tries to save the entry they get the following error message.

Error message

I'm not a developer and unfortunately this doesn't mean much to me.  Everything else on the site is working fine and I believe I have the most current version of ouwiki installed.  Does anyone have any ideas?

Many thanks in advance

Hi Nathan,

I suspect that this forum isn't really the correct place for discussing OU wiki as it's a contrib plugin, but I'll let someone else worry about that.

You can raise issues for OUWiki in the GitHub project:
https://github.com/moodleou/moodle-mod_ouwiki/issues

In fact this looks rather similar to another issue that has been encountered by ORACLE users, see https://github.com/moodleou/moodle-mod_ouwiki/issues/16 . Unfortunately there's no fix for this, but it may be that other MySQL users (we use Postgres at the OU, hence why issues on other DB systems sometimes crop up) have encountered the problem - the best way to reach them is via the plugin page at: https://moodle.org/plugins/view.php?plugin=mod_ouwiki.

I would also check you are running the correct mod release for the version of Moodle on your production server (if you're running 2.4 then the MASTER branch in GitHub is the best bet).

Thanks Jason

I wasn't sure where the appropriate place was so I searched for ouwiki and other queries seemed to be in the wiki forum.

I'll have a look at the info provided and raise the issue in GitHUB as requested if I continue to have a problem.
