Does anyone know if its possible to add an image to any of the tab formats, rather than text?

Dear Nyree,

Using the Onetopic format on Moodle 2.4 as an example, then no it is not.  The tabs use the section name rather than the section summary so only text is displayed.  The closest 'tab' format with image support is the Grid format.
