I am interested to know how moodle 2.3 handles file aliases it cannot re-link during a course restore? Note: i have seen: http://docs.moodle.org/23/en/Restoring_file_aliases but am not clear on the "Can't be restored" and file alisasesing skipped parts. Does that mean a course might have a number of missing files.
To summarize:
- Does it simply not put the file in the course?
- Does it add the file but not as an aliases?
- other?
One last question, is there a way for the person restoring the course to know which file aliases could not be re-stablished so he/she could manually add the file or file aliases back.
