Subject: Publish Your Best Online Learning Ideas!



Have you implemented a terrific design or development idea that others
in our field would be thrilled to adapt or adopt? Would you like to
publicize your proven idea(s) and gain recognition by your peers and the
industry?



Pfeiffer, a Wiley imprint, will be publishing the Online Learning Idea
Book (working title) during summer 2006 in order to showcase great ideas
from the industry's best instructional designers and developers! We are
soliciting ideas from K-12, higher education, corporate and government
training, and anywhere and everywhere else and from all over the globe.
We will select ideas for inclusion in the book according to the criteria
below.



Act now if you want your idea to be showcased! All ideas MUST be
submitted by March 31, 2005, for consideration. Submission form:

Patti Shank, PhD, CPT, internationally known instructional technologist
and instructional designer, and a hand-picked idea review board will
review all submitted ideas to find those that are especially ingenious,
applicable to myriad settings, easy to implement with common tools and
methods, and FUN for inclusion in the book.



Selection Criteria:

We are looking for ideas that are:

* Part of the online portion of blended or online instruction,
either self-paced or group-paced/instructor-led, synchronous or
asynchronous

* Bite sized

* Highly creative

* Likely to improve instructional value, engagement, usability,
accessibility, or make the design and development process easier

* Applicable in a many settings

* Easy to implement

* Implementable with easily available, industry standard tools and
technologies (non-proprietary outputs)

In addition, all selected ideas must be:

*

Easily reviewed by the review board
*

Capable of gaining approval for screen shots and descriptions
for inclusion in the book
