Updated iPhone app STILL not working with 2.2.2

Updated iPhone app STILL not working with 2.2.2

I updated the app over the weekend, and it still rejects my login attempts (saying 'you need moodle 2.1 or later') - I have enabled web services.

Did this (fairly major) bug fix get missed, or is this in a future version? If so, how long ish?

I just installed Moodle 2.2.3 yesterday and I can't get the mobile app to work on my iphone either.

Hello gents

I have installed 2.2.3 and the mobile app works just fine so maybe it is not a bug at all?

Cheers

Richard

I upgraded the installation to be 2.2.3 (the 2.2.3, not the updated build) and this didn't fix it. Put on the latest 2.2.3 weekly build (built this morning), still didn't work. So consulted the docs page (http://docs.moodle.org/22/en/Enable_mobile_web_services)

It seems the checkbox tick wasn't enabling the xmlrpc permission for authenticated users role, or enabling the external service (search for external services in the settings > administration menu, then tick the allow mobile) box.

Now just need to find out where the Upload link puts files!

Hi David

You will find them in your private files on your My Moodle home page (link from Navigation menu).

In Moodle 2.3 these private files can be linked to any course - should be useful for video intros and the like.

Cheers
Richard

That's the problem - it isn't showing the JPG file in the Private file area!

It started working for me. Not sure what changed.
