I know Moodle since yesterday. Yes... I know
Now I want to experiment first, before using it next school year in September.
The installation with MAMP on my standalone Mac went fine.
When I open the first page: http://localhost:8888/moodle22/ everything is still OK.
The homepage askes me to login with admin/12345, but that does'nt work.
I'm stucked with this problem. Can anyone help me, please ?

Is "12345" the password?

On top of the homepage stands login with admin/12345.
I've tried that multiple times, had to start my browser too (because of to many attemps), but Moodle is not responding.

Generally during Moodle installation the admin profile(username,password,mail,etc) is created by the user. I am not sure if the process is different for Mac.
Meanwhile you can try deleting the config.php file and install again. This would give some idea why it is asking for admin/12345.
I see, that is preconfigured at the Mac Moodle package.
Looking at the following page: http://download.moodle.org/macosx/, I notice that it says:
"MAMP only works with Mac OS X 10.6 and 10.7".
It seems then, that you should have used the XAMPP distribution:
"XAMPP should run properly with Mac OS X 10.4, 10.5, 10.6, and 10.7".
