Beste Gordon and every oneelse,

I took me quite a time to convince my ict-system managers at school to import Quizport. I think finally I get them there, however it is not done yet.

Now a question, what about Text Toys in Moodle/quizport?
When I put a Sequitur or a Rhubard normally in Moodle I don't get results saved. But vaguely I remember once to have read that with quizport, it does.
Am I right? It would help me argumenting to get Quizport imported in our Moodle.

I hate it to depend on decisions of others, but that is how it is for me. (as far as Moodle is concerned)

Glenys I know from you that you use Rhubarb a lot. Do you have them in Moodle?

Hi Henny,

Nice to "see" you here. Yes, I do use TexToys a lot and I do use them in Moodle. I don't remember that there was a problem with the gradebook (in Moodle 1.9) with the Hot Potatoes Module version, but I haven't used it for a long time. In QuizPort there's certainly no problem.

Here are a couple of examples (why do I choose this subject I wonder? wink)

I don't call them WebSequitur and and WebRhubarb but that's what they are.

You can create an account on the platform and try them out if you like.

(Oh, I see the nice picture I was linking too is no longer on the Internet. This is a very old course.)

Cheers,

Glenys

Dag Glenys,

Oh do you like the Prinsengrachtconcert? It's rather popular here and our queen is always attending it. And very recently we had this ice suddenly! They did an extra winterconcert on the ice in the Prinsengracht. Everybody was there, skating and drinking the traditional hot chocolate with rum, which is a must for skaters.

Further, the good news is, that I got today my Quizport in our Moodle and one student did a Sequitur and it worked PERFECT. Gordon, thank you so much for this feature.

Glenys, I know your love for fairy tales.
Here are a few, which I didn't put in Moodle yet (awaiting for the Quizport), but maybe you'll enjoy them anyway:

It's all in English (no support language, so I think you can use it). The little tailor is not finished yet. I will do that this week. But since it is a rather long story, (all together it will be 139 sentences in Jmix) it keeps me from the street, as we say here.

Hi Henny,

I love your Fairy Tale Exercises! I'm putting a picture here to give an idea of how delightfully you've presented them:

And they're not only pretty - in my opinion JMix is one of the most pedagically useful exercises especially using it combined with audio files.

Unfortuately on my Mac Lion, I can't drag the little audio players. This is a Lion problem, not a Hot Potatoes or Moodle problem. Be warned, avoid Lion - it's the Mac equivalent of Vista: problems galore. angry

Cheers,

Glenys

I discovered a few linkproblems but I think I have tackled them
And the brave little tailor is savely married by now. I have finished 120 exercises of him. There is more text, but a marriage in a fairy tale should be enough, shouldn't it?

Sorry, to read about your Lion problems. Well at my school they still only have IE. Grrr
