hi, i'm a fairly new moodler and need help with SCORM.

I have installed articulate powerpoint to flash converter and have created some simple interactive questions, in options i have selected SCORM and LMS, the convertion was done and published. it has automatically created a manefest. in my moodle site i added SCORM and uploaded the zip. that's where i get lost, it asks me to choose a scorm package. do i choose the manifest, index, ?????? can anyone help please?

regards jamie

Hello Jamie.

You must upload a .ZIP file that contains all of your package files without directory structure. Moodle will unzip, check and generate the structure of your course.

That's all.

Good luck.

hello Juan,

Thank you very much, big help, i discovered that articulate zips it up as a SCORM package, then the rest was simple. moodle does the rest..fantastic.

Jamie,

It sounds like you were successfull at getting an articulate quizmaker quiz to work in the SCORM module.  I believe I followed the same steps mentioned above, and moodle recognizes the zipped SCORM quiz.  When I attempt to take the quiz, I get a message "No input file specified".

Did you ever run into this?

Any suggestions?

Hi Tom,

1) i did get something like that once, in articulate you have 2 tick boxes the first is SCORM the second is LMS - I ticked this box and got the same message. i re-did it and unticked it and it was fine.

2) when you upload the ziped folder do not unzip it. instead choose it and moodle does the rest.

Other than this i don't know, but i will be interested if you solve it. good luck.

Regards

Jamie

Thanks for the input.

I don't see those tic boxes.  Are you using Articulate Presenter ver. 4.1 and Quizmaker 1.04.0?

I assume from your remarks that you are publishing a presenter, where a quizmaker quiz has been integrated.  I tried that as well, but in the case above, I was just trying to get a stand-alone quiz to work in the scorm module.  In either case, I don't see those tic boxes you mention.

I also have a related problem.  I am trying to load modules created with Articulate that are not packaged as SCORM modules.  I'm trying to add them as a resource - 'Link to file or web site' - and then linking to the player.html file.  When I try to launch, http://www.oursite/moodle/file.php/17/module_directory/player.html, it simply hangs forever (a new window opens, resizes, and sits there - no error messages ever result).  Note that linking directly to http://www.oursite/moodledata/17/module_directory/player.html launches the module correctly.

Do I have to package these modules as scorm and load them that way?  Any other suggestions?  We're using Articulate Presenter 4.1

Jodi,

This should work.  I have several articulate packages that are not SCORM'ed and also work just fine.

I think your problem is a combination of slasharguments and permissions.

Also, depending on what Operating System (windows or linux), web server (apache or IIS), and database, and version of moodle, will give us clues on how the provide a solution.

So, what Operating system, web server, database, and version of moodle are you running?

David

Sorry to omit all this from my first post!  We're running linux red hat, apache 2,  mysql, and moodle 1.4.4.  I've played with the slasharguments option - hasn't had an effect in either setting.

Thanks!
