Moodle and Blackboard use in the US

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone could confirm a couple of figures on the percentage use of Moodle and Blackboard in the US? I've just been quoted over 50% for Blackboard and about 17% for Moodle but I'm wondering if those are accurate. That was just a general figure (i.e. across all sectors).

Does that sound about right mixed ?

Thanks in advance,

Ian.

Hi,

It sounds correct to me since most of the decission makers in big schools/organizations are not paying out of their own pockets so they prefer a paid solution where they have minimal responsibilities and risks.

Hi Bassam,

Actually, Moodle *is* a paid solution with minimal responsibilities and risks. You pay staff to make it work, and you can buy a 'worry-free' contract from a Moodle Partner or other contractor.
