hello everyone, I am the admin of the moodle in our school. But this was the first year for me in this job. We have 22 different courses in our moodle and in each cours, 30 students are defined as a student. ALl the students has their own usernames and passwords..

Now, for the next year, I should do a good plan. Every students should be in upper grade.. will all of them create new accounts again next year? And will I define them as a student in their course? Is there a better way?

I am really dont know what should I do..  Do I need a back up?

I know that everybody here lives this situation in every year. How do you solve this problem?

YES, YES, YES, you ALWAYS need a backup.

Our policy has been:

WE have different COURSES that run for 5 weeks, 10 weeks, semester, and whole year.  Teachers create, use and continually edit their courses so we do a site backup automatically every 2 weeks.  This should really be every week, if something goes wrong, we lose less than 2 weeks of work when really, it could be a week. I am not privee to what happens after that, but I think they burn the backup to disc and then delete the backup off the hard drive storage area.

Hi Eda,

You have posted the same question in the "General problems" forum http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=174758 (see http://docs.moodle.org/en/Moodle.org_forums_Code_of_Conduct#Post_your_question_in_one_forum_only ).

Since you've received more replies in the other forum, I suggest to follow-up the discussion there, unless you've got your question answered 'fcourse.
