I like the easy to use QR code block:

If you combine the use of cellarphones and paper leaflets, you can  - as non techie - simply do this:

  • put the QRcode block on your moodle webpage
  • you get - on the spot - automatically the "mozaiek" for that page with a built-in weblink
  • grab this mozaiek from your page
  • write your leaflet in Word and paste the mozaiek in that leaflet
  • give the leaflet to your students
  • when the students "aim" their cellarphones at the mozaiek on the leaflet, they can jump to the Moodle page which is supported by your leaflet
  • (type "qr code reader" in google.com for finding a mozaiek reader for your own cellar phone)
  • an example of a QR-code:

This is neat! The first time I saw it was from the University of Bath.  Every page printed from their moodle had the corresponding code printed on it.  They had an entire project, and you can read about it here: http://blogs.bath.ac.uk/qrcode/qr-codes-and-moodle/
