Moodle 2 users

Does anyone know who is using Moodle 2 in production already? I am wondering if there are any discussions happening yet on: how they decided when to upgrade,  how that has progressed, perceptions of teachers and students during and after the change, problems encountered (people and technical problems) and how they were resolved.

In trying to decide when we should move our production server (almost 25,000 accounts) it would be useful to know how others made their decisions.

We currently have about 1600 2.x sites registered with at least 8 over 10,000 users.

One big Uni that I know recently started using 2.0 in production is La Trobe (http://www.latrobe.edu.au/lms/moodle/)

It would be great to develop a list of universities and colleges (and others) that are using Moodle 2X. This would help develop the argument for moving to Moodle 2X for those universities that are reluctant to move forward due to imaginary 'risk'.

For example (please add to this list):

Canada: Vancouver Island University, Emily Carr University, Royal Roads University (upgrade roadmap in progress as of Sept 23), University of Alberta, York University

Who need to make a case for Moodle 2, if not the teachers?

Not all places work that way. To me, moving to Moodle 2.1 is a no brainer... to others it is an issue. So the case must be built. Knowing universities/colleges that have made the move is a piece of the pie that is required.

More others don't have a reason.
