Request the students to retake a exam periodically and automatically

I'm using Moodle 2.0.2.

I have a training course. After the students pass the exam, they will be marked as "certified".

But I want to set the expiration time for the certification. When the certification of a student is expired, moodle system will alert the teacher (via email) which student and also request that student (via email) to retake the exam for new certification automatically

Is there any way ?

This is a functionality that I would also be interested in but have failed to come up with.

Hi,

I need to answer the same question as we are looking to implement Moodle and this will need to be one of the required functions.

Have you tried using the "Duration after enrolment" option in the course completion settings?

I currently don't have a Moodle install on which to test this.
