Win 2003 load balance server, moodledata issue.

Hi everyone,
I need urgent help here please. I need to install moodle on two servers with Windows 2003 OS. Here comes the problem with the moodledata folder.
I cannot use local folders 'cause these servers are just for applications and they have a limited hard disk space. I have tried with a shared folder on a 3rd server, but i got troubles with .zip files compress/uncompress (due to double slashes needed for the root).
What solutions, can I implement to get solution?
Again, both servers OS are Windows 2003 Enterprise (Not R2! so I couldn't use DFS).
Thanks in advance for your time.
Greetings.

This is a common topic in the "Hardware and Performance" forum http://moodle.org/mod/forum/view.php?id=596 see for example http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=88214 You can run a search in that forum.
Also check the documentation http://docs.moodle.org/en/Performance#Scalability
Of if you are looking for MS Windows specific instructions, you can try "Windows-based servers"http://moodle.org/mod/forum/view.php?id=6799
