I am trying to increase attendance to my courses by posting my lecture as password-protected .pdf documents (well, I am not sure it is a wise strategy, but that is yet another problem). I give the password at random times during my lectures.
None of my windows-using students have any difficulty reading the documents : they are being asked for the password, provide it et voilà.
Things seem to be different for my MacOS X-using students. Either the document simply refuses to open, or their password gets rejected all the time. I have tested that myself.
When I simply send them the document (i.e. by email), they can open it without difficulty.
Does anyone know what is happening ? Can anyone help ?
