Hello
We need an e-learning platform based on Moodle (www.moodle.org) that will allow for conducting vocational exams. Each exam would consist of 5 components: 4 of which test 1 given subject matter (knowledge or skill e.g. application of logic, data bases familiarity, programming jargon(s), application design). The 5th component would be conducted as a live videochat in which the examiner would test the candidate on social skills and communication ability of which each subcomponent ( clarity, application of jargon, content, confidence of delivery etc.) would be rated on a separate scale to arrive at a sum total score representing the candidate’s knowledge level. Scores for each exam component and their sum total would be represented on a certificate awarded to the candidate. Each certificate would be verifiable by accessing a website by means of an access code printed on the certificate.
We require a test set (with 2 different types of exercises including 5 questions each for each of the 6 levels) and 1 account of each type so that we can test for the system’s functionality.
You can use free and non-free Moodle modules such as RED5 server, WiZiQ or DimDim to develop videochat module. The possibility to download the video at any given time by any given person is very important for us.
We are flexible as to the choice of tools and technologies – the priority is a tool that answers all our needs and is based on Moodle.
