Backup and restore

I am trying to restore a backup and I got this far before I got an error.

Creating temporary structures
Deleting old data
copying zip file
Warning: chmod(): Inappropriate file type or format in /Library/Apache2/htdocs/moodle/backup/lib.php on line 290.

Error copying backup file. Invalid name or bad perms.
