Hi, Moodlers and iPhone users,
I started this topic so that we shall not overload the previous topic. If you do NOT see ALL the files on your Moodle site, please remove the previous "mobile" folder and then replace it with the one attached here by unzipping the mobile.zip file.
For any issues you might find with the mPage "mobile" folder ---- the mPage Web Service, please don't hesitate to raise them here.
If you prefer to discuss at mPage forums, please visit http://mpage.hk/course/view.php?id=3. Thanks.
James
Hi James
Thanks. I've replaced the old 'mobile' folder with the new one you attached. It still does not work. No error log is generated.
I do not know how to access error files for my server. Could you give me any hints. I run a Centos5 distro.

Hello Jeff,
Now, the only error log should come from your server. However, as I would presume that your server is a self-built one, I would not expect any C-panel like control panel on your server.
For your reference, the screenshot below shows where the error logs can be located in C-panel.

Without the error log, I think I can only help if I can access your Moodle files on your server, including the "config.php", MySQL, etc. If you allow, please send me the information by email.
If you prefer to work on the server on your own, I would recommend you to try to download the latest version of Moodle 1.98. Install it on your server. Then, upload the "mobile" folder to see if mPage works.
To sum up, I can either examine the error log if available, or work on your server if allowed. Instead, you can install another Moodle 1.98 to see if your server is configured to allow web service.
Hope we can solve the issue ASAP. Cheers

Hi James
No, I don't have a C Panel. I'd prefer not to provide access to the server, but will copy the contents of any key files you need to see.
I have just installed a new moodle on http://machuca.co.uk/moodle/admin/index.php. That's 1.98+
It also does not work.
Thanks
Jeff

Hi all,
I apologize for the mess in the past 48 hours after mPage was launched.
The downloading service is now resumed.
If you have ever downloaded a copy and installed the "mobile" folder in the past 48 hours,
please kindly remove it and replace with the one from our download site.
Once again, thanks for all your support.
James
P.S. Please don't use the file in the parent discussion. Use the one here or the one from our download site.

Sorry, still does not work even with your new files. I have tested on 1.97 and 1.98. The error message is exactly the same as before.
Hi John,
Thanks for your trying. I hope I can help. Can you give more information of your server? It will be better if I have the URL to examine whether your server produces any signal to react with the updated files. As you know, the plugin is a kind of web service. BTW, can you find a error_log file inside the latest "mobile" folder? Please send me by email, if you have one.
Cheers

It is a fresh, brand new install of 1.98. There is no error_log inside of the the mobile folder (mobile folder was given permissions of 777).
I also tried on a 1.97 server as well.
I also tested on our production (197) and that failed completely and did not recognize it at all as a moodle server. Our producation has forced login turned on.

I read the FAQ and tested following all FAQs except this:
I will see if I can send you the URL.
- installed in the basic directory of your domain, i.e. http://moodle.hk, NOT http://moodle.hk/moodle;
I will see if I can send you the URL.
