This conference marks the second annual gathering of practitioners interested in e-Portfolios. University of London Computer Centre (ULCC), the first UK Mahara partner and host of this year’s successful MoodleMoot UK, are hosting this important event at Westminster Kingsway College King’s Cross campus on 16 July 2010.

Last year’s MaharaUK conference, the first ever European Mahara gathering saw nearly 100 delegates coming together for a day of demos, debates and discussions. The feedback illustrated just how much delegates enjoyed the day; with 100% saying it met their expectations and 98% that it provided opportunities for participation.

"The event was an excellent intro to Mahara and what it can do to support learning. The emphasis on the user meant it was easy to see how it could be applied." MaharaUK09 Delegate

"Can't remember last time I attended something when the whole day was good!" MaharaUK09 Delegate

In the short period since last year’s MaharaUK conference, the education sector has witnessed what was initial interest convert into a massive take-up of e-Portfolios. As Philip Butler, Senior e-Learning Adviser at ULCC points out:”We saw evidence of some really innovative approaches to using e-Portfolios being showcased at the recent MoodleMoot UK, and this event promises to be really exciting!”

We have increased capacity by 50% this year to accommodate more delegates, but we expect to be oversubscribed again and strongly recommend you pre-register online to avoid any disappointment. Those registered will be notified first when tickets are available to buy online.
