Do you know what ftp is? Did you set up your Moodle yourself? Can you upload files to the actual server? The place you put your logos is in the formal white folder in the theme folder inside your Moodle. However, if you can't get to those folders (maybe if you don't have ftp you know what cp is and can get to the files that way?) - you could swap to the standard logo theme. With that one you upload the image into your site files via site admin>front page>site files and Moodle will pick it up from there as long as you have named it correctly. When you change to that theme it actually tells you how to change your logo.
