Has anyone come across a problem when trying to upload a PDF or word document using the update resource command on an existing resource. I can do it no problem on the home page, but the minute i try to do it under one of my page heading sections, it only gives me the option to upload mages or write text
Hi there. Where exactly are you trying to display your pdf? If you mean "add a resource" then "link to a file or website" you just click on the pen/hand icon to edit it, then go to under the location box - upload your pdf into the files storage area there and then choose your pdf and it will replace whatever is already there. Were you wanting to add it somewhere else? That too is perfectly possible - I just need to know where you want to put it.
Hi Mary, thanks for your response, our webpage is
http://www.steplearn.net/malpaschurchinfants/, under the childrens zone resource page, i have an entry for Eco Schools under which i have posted some PDFs, but I didn't really want them showing there, I wanted viewers to be able to click on the Eco schools link, then open a new document allowing them to choose which files they view and or download
Many thanks, hope this makes sense

Do you mean the webpage that says "Eco schools"? Simply upload the pdfs into your site files on the front page (site admin>front page>site files ) and then update your Eco schools webpage and type some text to link to the pdf -then select the text and click the chain icon at the top of the html (text) editor. When you get the browse box then browse the sitefiles for your pdf file and choose that. In target choose "new window" and you should get what you want. I hope that is what you meant

Hi, I'm following Mary around.
Everything Mary says is correct, except, you want to consider "In target choose 'new window' and you should get what you want" a little more carefully. Setting each link to each pdf to open a new window may complicate saving and/or printing the pdf. Experiment with your first link. You may NOT want to open a window for each.
And, don't forget to change the text on Eco School, since it now refers to Eco Club.
One other item. Both your front page and your Eco School page are enormously long, with a lengthy blank stretch below the Home page button. I think this is the culprit.
Your iframe has height="20000" which seems very long to me. I don't know enough about tables and iframes and themes (how they all work together) to help resolve this, but it's something to look into.
