Thanks to Ger Tielemans for the CVS for Windows instructions! Windows users interested in the easy way to get a Moodle CVS should check this out:
CVS for Windows
I had my Moodle CVS in a few minutes with this setup. The easiest!
Thanks again,
John

Hello Moodlers,
I need some help using TortoiseCVS for Windows. I am trying to work on some help documentation for Moodle but can not do a "commit" after making changes to a file. If you can help please go to:
TortoiseCVSForWindows
Thanks in advance for your help,

Hello Moodlers,
I'm looking for some help with CVS for Windows users. I'm running a Windows XP PC and wish to participate in the development of some "Documentation" for new Moodle users. I've not been able to make a commit to the Sourceforge Moodle CVS and I can't figure out what's wrong. I've tried two different CVS methods: Tortoise and WinCVS. My settings are obviously wrong. BTW, I've read the CVS documentation in Sourceforge with nojoy.

Is there a CVS expert in the house?

Just had a thought - are you perhaps using the pserver option, and not the ext option?

This is what your settings should look like for CVSROOT:
        :ext:johncaptain@cvs.moodle.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/moodle

Also note the recently-added TortoiseCVS info on the download page.
