Hi Daryl,

You mean you are done for the day????  Just tried it and worked great--no problems.  I think this is a great addition to Moodle. 

I have a suggestion though, would it be possible to have the block also be available within a course?   Maybe a kind of Ask the Teacher a question kind of thing (of course, then it would have to be coded to pick up the teacher's email address, and maybe even the student's address so that might not be possible--and, of course, a student can always contact their teacher other ways).  Or, it could be used as a technical/help kind of tool also.

And WP, I will mention it in business uses course.

I was trying out your Contact Block. I am having trouble in installing.

I am using 1.5+ in windows Environment.

ERROR on running admin is as under:

Warning: file(c:\program files\easyphp1-7\www\moodle/blocks/__MACOSX/block___MACOSX.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in c:\program files\easyphp1-7\www\moodle\lib\blocklib.php on line 21

Using verion Contact Form Version 5.

Can you advise if this is the latest version or not.

Also advise where I am going wrong.sad

Hi - did you work out what to do? I tried to install the contact form script & get the same message at the top of the Admin page:
Warning: file(/home/dl/public_html/yinndee-english/blocks/__MACOSX/block___MACOSX.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/dl/public_html/yinndee-english/lib/blocklib.php on line 21

Have got rid of it. Is it a question of taking the contact form folder from it ?

And where might I find any other working contact form block?

The contact form block was moved into the cvs contrib area quite a while back.

nightly contrib zips:
http://download.moodle.org/download.php/modules/block_contact_form_1.5
http://download.moodle.org/download.php/modules/contact_form (this one is for Moodle 1.4)

or cvsweb:
cvs:/contrib/block_contact_form_1.5
cvs:/contrib/contact_form

The  zip links don't seem to be working. Do you have any updated links.

I'm not sure what to do with cvs, to download the files.

Oops, sorry - the URLs were missing the extension. Just add .zip into the end of them. These links will also work:

It doesn't seem to be appearing. I did as in the readme file but same no show.
