Hi guys,
Since social networking, collaboration, filesharing and communications are what e-learning and learning management systems are all about, or at least should be about, I though that this bit of news would be of interest to the Moodle community in general. The possibilities in the not-too-distant-future look very enticing indeed!:

Flash 10 has been around for a while (this article is a year old) ... are there any examples on the web of these sort of apps?

Hi Martin,

The Flash developer community are still waiting for the official release of the technology. The essential NetConnection.send() method hasn't even been added to Adobe's official on-line AS 3.0 documentation. As far as I can tell, the first releases will only be useable with Flash Media Server but they're promising to make it available to the open source community after that.

So, in short, no there's no applications for P2P communications just yet. If you're really interested, you could always ask Adobe for a pre-release: fmsprerelease@adobe.com
