copy / paste will not work (although you will see the image) because the image is still located on your hard drive.
You need to upload it to the server with the "insert image feature".
As I understand, you would like to have it automatically uploaded when pasting it, yes?
All image format that can be displayed by a browser (gif, jpg, png) can be uploaded.
